Essential oils are safe if used appropriately i.e. at the correct dosage for your age and condition.
Always check the safety data and contra-indications for the oils you want to use.
Infants, children and elderly - use essential oils with care, according to age and state of health. The oils you can use for infants and small children are limited.
Bath and Shower

Add 4 drops of your chosen essential oils to 10ml of unscented shower or bath product, stir well before adding to running water or applying to a sponge under the shower. You can add 4-6 drops of essential oil neat to your bath water under the running tap.

Full body massage
|
No more than 8 drops of essential oils should be used, regardless of the amount of base oil.
|
Face, Neck and Shoulders Massage
|
5ml of a nice base oil with 1 drop of your chosen essential oil is recommended.

Infants & Young children
(1-5 years)
|
1 drop of a safe oil, i.e. Lavender, Mandarin or Rose,(non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitising to skin), to 10ml of a suitable bath product or cream
for bath or skin care.

Children (6-12 years)
|
1 drop of essential oil in 5ml of unscented base oil, bath product, body lotion etc. They can use the same oils as adults, be aware of contra-indications.

Teenagers
|
As for adults i.e. 2 drops in 5ml of base oil, unscented bath product, cream, body lotion etc.
